Sample pre-party post: "Have it Love it?! You know how this game goes - if you have one of these products and LOVE it (or had it and used it...lol!) Let us know by commenting below. Door prize drawings during the party!"
So I decided to do some research, go all in, and give it another go. The result? An $800+ Pure Romance party (titled: PJs & Pillow Talk) that lasted 30 minutes and was conducted entirely on Facebook! What's even more exciting is that most products sold were not deeply discounted so I was also able to earn a nice profit, similar to a traditional party.
I love learning new things and am a bit of a training junkie so I checked out several "gurus" and resources on how to do these parties more effectively. The BEST rundown I found was by the Tag Team Party Peeps who provide step by step instructions via two recordings that I purchased (worth it!). I was impressed that they are also direct sales consultants and have conducted many successful online parties themselves.
For someone who's previous idea of a Facebook party was setting up an event and putting a link for ordering, this new method which involves multiple pre-party posts, videos and actual (gasp) party planning with your hostess is a LOT of work. It's also a LOT more effective. With the structure in place now, future events should be easier. I had so much fun and received such great feedback with it that I'll be doing these monthly. I'm excited to be able to offer something more interactive to my customers who don't live in the Twin Cities!
